World Golf Rankings After Masters Immelman Is The Big Climber

Trevor Immelman has not surprisingly climbed the World Golf Rankings after his wire to wire victory in the US Masters this past weekend. The South African has jumped 14 places to number 15 in the world after his Augusta win. Check out highlights of his masters win from youtube

Justin Rose remains the top European in the world rankings in 7th Place. The top spot is still Tiger Woods whose runner up spot at the masters gained him points over Phil Mickelson in second, and he will have gained lots of points over Ernie Els who missed the US Open Cut.

Trevor Immelman from South Africa won the Masters Tournament at Augusta National having lead since round one. On a final day with blustery winds averaging 20 miles per hour Immelman shot a final round of 3-over-par 75 for a three stroke victory over World Number One Tiger Woods. Immelman becomes only the second South African Masters Champion, his victory coming on the 30th anniversary of Gary Player’s third Green Jacket win. The 28-year-old 2008 Masters Champion climbs 14 places to World Number 15.
