Boo Weekly opened with a 65 to take the first round lead in the Stanford St. Jude Championship, Weekly shot 6 birdies in his five under par round, the only falter was a bogey on the par three 4th.

What a difference a week makes, Weekly has been busy working on his short game after missing the cut in the Memorial Tournament.

A 66 for Tommy Armour III puts him in second place on four under.

Third placed Vijay Singh had an amazing afternoon of peaks and troughs with two bogeys, a double bogey, an eagle and five birdies in his 67.

Sergio Garcia, Davis Love III, Justin Leonard, Stuart Appleby, Marc Turnesa, Craig Kanada and Cody Freeman all share fourth place on 68.
