Three rounds completed in the 2009 Open Championship at Turnberry and the veteran Tom Watson still maintains his awesome form however he didn’t have things all his own way during his one over par round of 71 which puts him 4 under for the tournament. The round consisted of 4 bogeys and 3 birdies and for a while he dropped down the leaderboard slightly however birdies on the 16th and 17th put him back where he belongs.

Australian Matthew Goggin carded a one under par 69 to move up to a share of second place at 3 under along with England’s Ross Fisher.

Another Englishman Lee Westwood and South African Retief Goosen are in fourth place two strokes off the lead.
