Thursday and Friday Tee Times British Open Golf Championship 2008

The 137th Open Championship at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club, Southport Lancashire gets underway on Thursday 17th July 2008.

Veteran Sandy Lyle has an early start on Thursday going to the tee at 7.14am, Justin Rose, who made such an impact as a 17 year old amateur in the 1998 Open here at Royal Birkdale, begins his challenge at 7.36am in company with five times winner Tom Watson.

Padraig Harrington starts his title defense at 7.58am his playing partners for the first two rounds are Retief Goosen and Justin Leonard.

Ernie Els begins at 8.31am and Lee Westwood at 8.58am, world number 2 Phil Mickelson starts his challenge at 9.20am followed closely by Colin Montgomerie at 9.31am.

The bookmaker’s favourite Sergio Garcia gets a lie in on Thursday as his tee time is 14.31pm, his compatriot the ultra consistent Miguel Angel Jimenez tees off slightly earlier at 14.09pm. Live Golf Betting.
