The final round in The Open at Turnberry (British Open to those outside the UK) begins at 8.00am Sunday morning, Daniel Gaunt ploughs a lone furrow, amongst the early birds are Mark O’Meara and Darren Clarke paired together who go to the tee at 8.20am, other top players amongst the also rans who will miss their Sunday morning lie in are Padraig Harrington, Paul Lawie, Paul Casey and Sergio Garcia who all tee off before 10am.

Ten past two sees a rare sight, 2 English golfers in the penultimate pairing, Ross Fisher and Lee Westwood both have a live chance of lifting the Claret Jug but the man who is last on the tee may have something to say about that when he tees off 10 minutes later, Tom Watson 5 times winner of the open must be pinching himself, leading after 3 rounds at the age of 59 can he become the oldest winner of a major ever, weather permitting we will know the answer by tomorrow evening. Watson is paired with Australian Matthew Goggin.
