The KLM Open 2008 Preview
There is a strong field lining up for The KLM Open at Kennemer G & CC, Zandvoort, Netherlands.
The final three automatic places in the European Ryder Cup team are still up for grabs so Justin Rose, Oliver Wilson, Søren Hansen, Martin Kaymer, Ross Fisher, Nick Dougherty and Søren Kjeldsen will all be gunning for victory firm in the knowledge that will claim them a place.
Ross Fisher will be hoping to repeat last years victory in this event to go with his win in the European Open last week to firmly cement his cup place, however history is against him, no man has successfully defended The KLM Open since American, Bob Byman in 1977-78.
Nick Dougherty is another with a slim chance of qualifying for the Ryder Cup team, after playing through the pain barrior when finishing joint second to Swede Peter Hanson in last weeks SAS Masters in Stockholm.
