Strange Day At Celtic Manor Wales Open
Scott Strange leads the 2008 Celtic Manor Wales Open by one stroke after carding a magnificent eight under par 63 on the Twenty Ten Course.
Strange from Perth Australia started his round at the 11th tee and shot six birdies in his first eight holes, two birdies and a bogey followed on the front nine before he finished his round with another birdie on his final hole the 10th, this meant he had shot an amazing -7 28 for the back nine.
Earlier in the day some rounds were delayed due to fog however it didn’t effect Italian Edoardo Molinari who hit a flawless round of 64, seven under par which puts him in second place just one stroke behind Strange.
Last week’s BMW PGA Championship winner Miguel Angel Jimenez withdrew from the tournament after 11 holes, he was struggling with a problem to his right knee, at eight over par and joint last, he told an official and playing partners Phillip Price and Richard Sterne he was calling it a day.
