Seve Ballesteros birthday today a masters great

Severiano “Seve” Ballesteros, or Seve celebrates his birthday today. He was born on 9th April 1957, so he is 51 today.

Seve is one of the best loved golfers ever, he is a former world number 1. Seve burst onto the international arena when he came second at the open at only 19 years.

Seve won the masters in 1980 and 1983, he was well known for his ability to get himself out of trouble with amazing tenacious shots out of the rough. In total he won 5 majors and he helped the Ryder Cup European team win 5 times.
Seve Ballestereos retired from the game in 2007, his recent perfomances have been below what he would have liked, he now concentrates on golf course planning.

Seve is a Masters Golf Great.
