Sensational golf on Sunday from Ireland’s Padraig Harrington as he carded two consecutive four under par 66’s on the way to claiming victory in the 90th USPGA Championship at the Oakland Hills Country Club.

This win makes it back to back majors for Harrington who won The Open for the second year running just last month.

Sunday was a long day of golf due to weather disruptions on Saturday many players had to complete the third round, some of the leading contenders had a full 36 holes to play.

Harrington rarely faltered, his final round of 66 comprised 6 birdies and just 2 bogeys, his four round total was 277, 3 under par.

Sergio Garcia and Ben Curtis tied for second place 2 strokes behind Harrington, Spain’s Garcia (68) must be kicking himself right now after starting the final round in the best possible way with a birdie at the first and an eagle at the second 2nd, another birdie at the 6th saw him out in 31, unfortunatly bogeys at the 16th and 18th saw his title chances slip away.

It was a similar tale of woe for third round leader, American Ben Curtis (71) who experienced a lot of peaks and troughs in his final round, birdies at the 1st and 6th were canceled out by bogeys on 8 and 9, another bogey came on the 10th before birdies at the 12th and 14th put him back in contention, sadly bogeys at the 15th and 17th halted the recovery and left him two strokes adrift.

Tied for fourth place on 1 over par were Columbian Camilo Villegas (68) and Sweden’s Henrik Stenson (72).
