The Stockholm based SAS Masters Golf Tournament enters the final round with 6 players within 2 shots of the lead.

Local Golfer Swedens Peter Hanson has a two shot lead over the chasing pack of 5 to take into the final round here at Arlandastad GC.. Hanson has remained consistent, he got 4 under par 66’s in the first 2 rounds, and today he kept his good playing going with a nice 68 which included 3 birdies.

Nick Dougherty who entered the third round with a share of the lead with Hanson will be disappointed with his play today as he could only muster a par 70.
Nick Dougherty has a faint hope of gaining a guaranteed Ryder Cup Place, if he wins this weekend but he is now in a five way tie for 2nd place along with Gary Orr from Scotland, Danish Start Soren Kjeldsen and more Swedish stars in Daniel Chopra and Pelle Edberg.

Chris Wood continues his impressive European Tour debut his first event since turining pro after his 5th place at the British Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. Wood will be pleased to have made the cut in his first pro event but it could have been so much better, he started his thirds round with an eagle two on the first and his front 9 of 29 five under par took him to just one off the lead. Wood could not continue this good form and the back nine included a double bogey 6 on the 12th and he ended with a bogey on 18, which left him with a 68 and a share of ninth on five under.
The Ryder Cup Team Europe qualification is very much in everyones thoughts. Soren Kjeldsen is 16th on the Ryder Cup Points Table, and a win here at the SAS Tour will put him on the fringe of the top 10 and an automatic Ryder Cup place.

Another Ryder Cup Team Contender is German Martin Kaymer. He is 11th on the Ryder Cup Points table and a top 12 finsh will put Martin back into an automatic qualifier poidition, He currently stands joint 20th after he hit 68 today,
