Saint-Omer Open - preview
The European PGA Tour Event in France this week will be largely overshadowed by events across the water as the US Open will take centre stage.
The 2008 Saint-Omer Open presented by Neuflize OBC however is a golden opportunity, for those not fortunate to be in America, to gain valuable points in the order of merit.
Paul McGinley who enjoyed a great start to the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth will be one of the fancied contenders at the Aa Saint Omer Golf Club, where the top players from the European Challenge Tour also line up in the only dual ranking tournament of the season.
Australian Peter Fowler must also fancy his chances he heads into the tournament on the back of last weeks third place in Austria, especially as he tied for second last year behind winner Carl Suneson.
England’s Iain Pyman who shared last week’s third spot with Fowler also lines up.
