Marco Ruiz of Paraguay and England’s Ross McGowan both shot eight under par 64s to share the lead after the first round of the Methorios Capital Italian Open at the Castello di Tolcinasco G & CC Milan.

On a day of low scoring an amazing 94 players carded sub par scores, both the leaders started the round on the back nine and by the turn McGowan was already six under par after birdies on the 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th two more birdies on the 6th and 9th capped off the perfect round, meanwhile Ruis went out in 33 having carded four birdies and a bogey before coming home in 31 with five more birdies.

If conditions remain as perfect throughout the weekend we are in for one amazing tournament, predicting a winner at this stage is nigh on impossible.
