One of the biggest events on the Seniors Tour begins on Thursday 24th July, The 2008 Senior Open Championship presented by MasterCard at the Royal Troon Golf Club, Ayrshire, Scotland.

All eyes will be on Greg Norman after the Australian maestros exploits in The Open at Birkdale, many of his peers will be hoping that those difficult four rounds will have worn him out and taken the edge of his game.

Four illustrious and esteemed Golfers make their Senior Open Championship debuts at Royal Troon this year they are none other than Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle, Ayshires own Sam Torrence and the Welsh wizard Ian Woosnam.

The field is a strong one and collectively the contestants have won 32 Majors victories and 27 Senior Majors.

Norman is sure to go off as one of the favourites however he will have his work cut out against defending champion Tom Watson who already has three Senior Open Championship titles under his belt.
