PGA TOUR playing soggy Bellerive … finally
Rain washed out the PGA TOUR’s Thursday Round 1 of the BMW Championship, the 3rd leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Players went out Friday playing lift, clean and place in the fairways. The 69-man field will play 36 holes on Saturday.
At 3:15 p.m. Eastern, Colombia’s Camilo Villegas held a one-shot lead, taking advantage of the soft conditions to shoot four-under 31 on the front nine. Kenny Perry, Sergio Garcia, Mike Weir and Stephen Ames were at three-under in various stages of the round. FedEx Cup points leader Vijay Singh was at one-over through 13 holes.

I didn’t even realize the “playoffs” were going on. Kind of hard to have a championship with the best player missing. All these guys can thank their lucky stars Tiger’s out or this thing would have been over long ago.
