Double Open Champion and new world number three Padraig Harrington of Ireland spearheads the European challenge at Firestone Country Club
Akron, Ohio USA for the World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational.
The four day WGC - Bridgestone Invitational begins on Thursday 31 July 2008, others of note from The European PGA Tour include Masters Champion Trevor Immelman of South Africa and his countryman Ernie Els, world number four Adam Scott.
England’s Justin Rose will be hoping to go one better than the second place he achieved last year, all be it 8 strokes adrift of Tiger Woods.
In all European Tour members make up 40 of the tournament field.
