Otto Hangs On In Italy For Maiden Tour Win
Hennie Otto managed to hang on to his lead in 2008 Methorios Capital Italian Open at the Castello di Tolcinasco G & CC Milan to win his maiden European Tour title by one stroke from England’s Oliver Wilson.
South African Otto shot a 3 under par final round of 69 which included four birdies, the only blemish being a bogey on the 12th. Otto ended the tournament 25 under par.
Second place Wilson carded a fine 64, the best round of the day by 2 strokes, with eight birdies for eight under par to finish the tournament just one shot behind Otto.
In third place a further stroke behind was Sweden’s Robert Karlsson who shot -5 to go with his course record -1 on day 2.
