Swede Christian Nilsson shot a blistering 64 to take over at the top of the leaderboard in the 2008 Saint-Omer Open presented by Neuflize OBC.

Nilsson’s seven under par round (7 birdies), which equals the Aa St Omer Golf Club course record, puts him on 139 at the halfway stage, -3 for the tournament and two stokes ahead of overnight leader Roope Kakko of Finland and Englishman John Morgan in second place.

Kakko of Finland shot 2 over today, a double bogey on the 3rd and further bogeys on the 8th and 10th dropped him back down the field, however birdies on 13 and 14 put him back to one under but another dropped shot on the 16th put him back with the pack, before a final birdie on 18 put him firmly back in the hunt.

Morgan had a mixed round with 3 bogeys and 2 birdies leaving him one over for the day.

Six golfers share fourth place a further stroke behind on level par.
