Moul of England creeping up to Swede in Russian Open

Jamie Moul of England has got himself within one shot of the lead after day 3 of the Inteco Russian Open Golf Championship 2008 at Le Meridien Moscow G & CC part of the PGA European Tour.

 

Jamie’s 8 under par 64 during third round has seen him climb from 11th to 2nd place on the Russian Open Leaderboard. Jamie playing only his second tournament on the PGA European Tour hit a perfect round with 8 birdies and 10 pars a blemish free round, he had a great run of 3 birdies to close his round.
Jamie Moul is a former world amateur nunber one and he looks to have a great future after this excellent 64 the lowest of the day. Moul turned pro after playing in the amateur version of the Ryder Cup the Walker Cup last September.

Moul would have had the overall leader but overnight leader Mikeal Lundberg is still in the lead after a 4 under par 68, his round was boasted by a great eagle on the 15th.

Other players in contention include England’s Benn Barham and South African Michiel Bothma who are three shots off the lead in a tie for third place on 14 under. Overall there are 7 players within 4 shots of the lead, so the final day looks to be very exciting.
