Michelle Wie has accepted an invitation to play in Munich this week in the Ladies German Open which starts tomorrow.

Despite her tender years 18 year old Wie is on the comeback trail after wrist problems almost forced her out of the game.

Wie is currently 172nd in the women’s world rankings after being as high as 3rd two years ago.

This weeks event will be Michelle’s first appearance in a senior European Tour field, her first round playing partners are Martina Eberl from Germany and Spain’s Paula Marti.

Wie is not a member of any professional golf tour at present, although she has played twice in the US this year, missing the cut on the first occasion and finishing last of those who made it to the third round on the second.
