Jack’s Tournament has been a tough test for the PGA tour golfers so far. Goggin started fantastically with birdies on 4 of the first 5 holes but with a mix of birdies and bogeys he ended up on even par 72, and a tie at the top with Kenny Perry, who could only muster a 1 under par 71.
As the leaders struggled so did the rest of the field, there were only 3 scores under 70, with Johnson Wagner turning in a remarkable 67. There were a massive 20 players not breaking 80!
The U.S. Open in San Diego is 2 weeks away and the US PGA pros certaintly got a severe test, with the un forgiving rough, and lightening fast greens.
