McGrane takes the China Open
Damien McGrane of Ireland won his first European Tour event with victory in the Volvo China Open. Mcgrane had a 3 shot lead going into the final round, and his one over par 73 in the final round was enough for victory and a £183,500 winners cheque.
Second place was shared by Simon Griffiths Oliver Wilson and Michael Lorenzo-Vera of France.
The final day was difficult with heavy rain and McGranes score of one over which include 2 birdies and 3 bogeys was enough.
Nearest rivals had much worse rounds Wilson got a 79 Griffiths had a 74 and Lorenzo-Vera a 79.
