Lorenzo-Vera takes over Irish Open lead
On a day when low scores were very few and far between in the 2008 Irish Open, Michael Lorenzo-Vera of France played a steady two under par 70 to go into the lead on 138, -6 for the tournament.
Lorenzo-Vera is one stroke in front of the German Marcel Siem who shot a one under 71 today.
In third place sits first round co-leader Richard Green, the Australian had a jittery round today with five bogeys in his two over 74. Along side Green is Pablo Larrazabal of Spain who recovered from a double bogey at the first to card his second two under par 70 of the tournament.
Jeev Milkha Singh who led after day one along with Green will probably be thinking that he used up all his luck on Thursday as he sank to a four shot over par 76, which included a double bogey on the 13th, small consolation will be that he is just four shots off the lead.
