Late Surge Gives Singh Leads At Firestone in WGC - Bridgestone Invitational

Ok so we didn’t have a bear running around our fairway but we did have plenty of excitement! For starters our first round leader, not the leader any more.

The new leader is Vijay Singh who stole it from two time Masters winner Phil Mickelson. Mickelson held the lead for a big chunk of the day, but Vijay made a late surge to take the second round lead.

There are sixteen players within four shots of the lead. These include first round leader Retief Goosen, Zach Johnson, and Sean O’Hair. Speaking of Sean O’Hair, he has one of the most worst driving accuracies in the field and is only two shots out of the lead.

The weather was a little better but the rough was about the same! It was still trying to hit out of monkey grass that has been growing for years.

This weekend should turn out to be quite the thriller. Maybe well still have someone to drain that big putt, but who will it be? I guess you’ll have to just tune in to find out!
