Pablo Larrazabal completed his maiden victory on the European PGA tour the
Open de France ALSTOM at Le Golf National Paris, France 08. Larrazabal completed a wire to wire victory on Sunday 29th June 2008, and become only the 4th player to achieve this feat, he joins an illustrious which includes Seve Ballesteros who won back to back wire to wire wins in1985, 86
Retief Goosen, 1997, and Sam Torrance, 1998
Larrazabal finished on a 72 hole score of 269 which left him 15 under par for the tournament.

The French Open saw a return to form of Colin MONTGOMERIE who finished 2nd with a 11 under par 72 holes. The result might be too late for Monty to get himself a automatic place in the European Ryder Cup team, but a return to form may catch the eye of Nick Faldo the Ryder Cup Captain for Europe and he might be considered for a wild card.

Lee Westwood continued his good form with 5th place at the French Open Golf he finished 7 under for the week.
