LARRAZABAL hits 65 to lead the French Open Golf

Pablo LARRAZABAL hit 7 birdies and 10 pars and the only blot was a bogey 6 on the ninth hole. The French Open winners prize money is €660,000 and also much need European Ryder Cup Points.

The French Open golf hosts the top 4 players on the European Tour order of Merit who will be fighting for some of the €4,000,000 prize purse.
The top 4 players being Miguel Angel Jiménez, Robert Karlsson, Lee Westwood and Oliver Wilson, They had mixed first rounds. Jimenez is one over and tied 56th, Robert Karlsson who finished 4th in the US Open also hit 72 and one over, Oliver Wilson had a shocker with a 5 over par 76 but Lee Westwood is nicely positioned and continuing the form which got him to 3rd in the US Open hit a 2 under par 69 which leaves him 17th and 3 shots off the lead.
