Martin Kaymer became the first german to win their home tournament the BMW International 2008 in the competitons 20th Anniversary Tournament.
Kaymer went into the final day with a 6 shot lead but he had to work for his win beating Anders Hanson on the first play-off hole.
So Martin Kaymer takes the BMW International Winners Prize Money of Euro 333,330

Kaymers drive was long and straight, cutting the corner over the water hazard. Hansen’s drive leaked a little right and caught the fairway bunker. Hansen played aggresively from the fairway trap with a rescue club which he hit well but it ended in a greenside bunker. Kaymer hit a glorious 5 iron from 212 yards to 10 feet. When Hansen left his bunker shot well short he knew he had to hole his putt to stand any chance. A good effort raced well by and he missed the return. Kaymer two putted to win.
