Karlsson leads Mercedes-Benz Championship Golf at half way stage

Robert Karlsson has returned to the European tour after a 3 week break and Nick Faldo will be pleased that the Swede has not lost any form during his break, and looks in top form for the Ryder Cup next week.

Karlsson was a shot behind the leader after day 1, but he moved up a place after 36 holes, thanks to a second round 69 at the Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof in Cologne Germany.
Karlsson round started well with birdies at 3rd, 5th, 7th in a front 9 33, his back 9 only produced one more birdie but a bogey at 15th cancelled that one out. It was still enough to give him a one shot lead over france’s Jean-François Lucquin.

So what about the other European Ryder Cup players well Soren Hansen is in 5th place after he hit one of the rounds of the day a 67. Miguel Angel JIMÉNEZ is in 28th +1 after 36 holes, and finally Graeme McDowell is +1 too.
