Karlsson Has Four Stroke Lead At BMW PGA Championship
Sweden’s Robert Karlsson has opened up a four stroke lead at Wentworth in the BMW PGA Championship.
The conditions on the West Course were harsh with winds gusting at up to 35mph, making the last few holes particularly difficult. Karlsson was one of only seventeen golfers to break par, an eagle on the 12th was undone by bogeys on the 15th and 16th, however he finished with two birdies for a two under round of 70 and an 11 under par total of 205.
Spain’s Miguel Angel Jiménez and England’s Oliver Wilson are four shots back in second place and overnight leader Paul McGinley carded a seven over 79 to finish the day in a share of fourth place with India’s Jyoti Randhawa and Argentina’s Daniel Vancsik on -6.
