Goosen Has 1 Shot Lead In WGC - Bridgestone Invitational
Even though the big story this weekend is it won’t be Tiger draining the big putt or hitting the big shot, that doesn’t mean that this tournament won’t be full of excitement.
The early first round leader is Retief Goosen at -4, although he has sole position of the lead, he is followed closely by 17 people within 2 shots.
Some of these include one time Masters winners Zach Johnson and Phil Mickelson. Also at -2 is Rocco Mediate. Some surprise people in a not so good way are the likes of K.J Choi, Colin Montgomerie, and Boo Weekley.
Also a big surprise is our leader. He arrived late last night and had an early tee time! This obviously didn’t bother him! The course was in tip top shape after rain earlier in the week. Although the fairway was playing as rough and the rough was playing like well, there’s no real name for it! Some would call it Hell.
The conditions should get better through the weekend so it should turn out to be a thriller! I guess well just have to wait and see.
