The European PGA Tour is back in England this week for the 2008 Quinn Insurance British Masters at The Belfry.

Australian Marcus Fraser and Mikael Lundberg have taken first round honours after shooting 5 under par 67’s. Fraser birdied the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th and 9th going out in 31, dropped shots on the 11th and 12th were offset by further birdies on the 15th and 16th. Lundberg enjoyed a more ballanced round with 3 birdies in each half the only blemish being a bogey on the 14th.

5 golfers are just one stroke off the lead in 3rd place amongst there number is defending champion and pre-tournament favourite Lee Westwood.
