Four Share First Day Lead in 2008 BMW International Open
The field is bunched in the 2008 BMW International Open at Golfclub München Eichenried Munich, Germany, 65 golfers managed to break par.
Four players share pole position, Mardan Mamat, Rafa Echenique, Anton Haig and Peter O’Malley all shot 66 for six under par .
Mamat, the only Singaporean ever to win on the European PGA Tour, carded seven birdies only blot being a bogey on the third.
Echenique of Argentina enjoyed a perfect round, starting from the tenth tee a fabulous five birdies saw him complete his first nine holes in 31, he managed just more one birdie on the front nine coming home in 35.
Haig of South Africa had a went out in 32 and back in 34 one bogey on the 15th spoilt the card.
Australian O’Malley had a perfectly balanced round shooting 33 on both halves, 3 birdies in each.
Bit of a sob story for England’s Paul Casey he was 5 under on 15 but finished with double bogey, par bogey to drop back to -2 and a share of 31st place.
