Finland’s Roope Kakko leads the way in France after the first day of the 2008 Saint-Omer Open presented by Neuflze OBCat.

Weather conditions were not ideal for Golf this morning at Aa St. Omer Golf Club when Kakko compiled a bogey free three under par 68 in the wind and rain.

Spurring on the flying Finn is girlfriend and caddy Minea Blomqvist a four time winner on the Ladies European Tour.

The rest of the field is backed up behind Kakko, a four way tie for second, just one stroke behind is made up of fellow Finn Mikko Korhonen, France’s Adrien Bernadet, and the English pair of Marcus Higley and John Morgan.
