Course Record Tumbles As Erlandsson Takes Lead In Spanish Open

Sweden’s Martin Erlandsson broke the course record to take the first round lead in the 2008 Open de España (Spanish Open) at Real Club de Golf de Sevilla.

Erlandsson racked up seven birdies including the last three holes to card a seven under par 65 giving him a one shot lead.

Tied for second place on 66 are Spanish duo Iqnacio Garrido and Jordi Garcia, Garcia hit a magnificent Eagle three on the 13th (his 4th as he started on the back 9).

Fourth on the leaderboard is England’s Gary Clark who shot a 67.
