Course Record for Fisher as he takes Day One Lead in the The European Open
Ross Fisher’s finished with a tremendous run of six straight birdies, at The London Golf Club in Kent, as he broke the course record to lead The European Open golf championship.
Fishers’s nine under par 63 shattered the previous course record set by Seve Ballesteros twenty four years ago in 1984, it was also his best round on the European PGA Tour.
Two players are tied for second place they are South African David Frost who went out in 31 and back in 34 to record his 7 under par 65, the same score as Ulsterman Graeme McDowell, who had a beautiful eagle 3 on the par 5 eighth.
McDowell’s countryman Rory McIlroy has sole possession of 4th place while sever players are stacked up behind in 5th.
