Brits Take Over In Ireland

The British contingent had a good day on Saturday in the third round of the 2008 Irish Open at Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort.

Bradley Dredge of Wales has climbed to the top of the leaderboard with a 6 under par 66 which gives him a one shot lead, he is on 207, -9 after three rounds.

In second place, 8 under for the tournament, is Englishman Richard Finch, Finch clocked up a near perfect round of 65, 7 under par which included 7 birdies.

England’s Lee Westwood had the best round of the tournament so far, an 8 under par 64 to move from 39th place to 3rd, 2 strokes behind the leader, Westwood’s round included eagles at the 7th and 18th holes.

Dredge will be hoping to hang on to the lead by the end of tomorrow to atone last years playoff defeat at the hands of Padriag Harrington.
